17 days leff to BOOGIE COMPETITIOIN - I even the odds with pinch twang

     The last note of this riff is one technique that I am going to compensate and hopefully rival Tommy's finger picking by answering back with something that  his acoustic doesn't have: "Pinch Twang"....

   Time is getting short and it is not yet coming together, however if I can start adding pinch harmonics to an electric/acoustic Tele, then I can hopefully "rival" those segments of Tommy's boogie tape that can only be done on acoustic with finger-picking.

  In one segment though, Tommy goes insane and into warp speed with super difficult show off acrobatic stuff, and I have to be sure to compensate again by playing something on my "Johnny Reb" that his acoustic cannot do even if it is Tommy playing it.....  getting there by I am feeling the pressure for sure...back to practicing, writing and comparing videos with Tommy.... thnx :-)

Shredding - Original Boogie Ideas at Rehearsal

  "Guitarslinger Boogie" update: 21 DAYS LEFT! Thnx for all the encouragement! :-) I have decided to stick to my original challenge, which means NO bass or drums... just my electric acoustic and Tommy's acoustic side by side.....there is no way that I can compete unless I can take my instrument up ALL THE WAY, like Tommy does on his boogie... In order to do that properly, I plan to rely on the sound of the instrument and the reverb to create dynamic articulations like adding what I call "pinch twang" :-)

   I was only about 14 years old when I heard "Jeff's Boogie" playing through a tiny speaker on the street in front of a record shop. About 7 years ago Tommy made a live Youtube video that took the guitar boogie to a whole new level.... I  STILL need to catch up.....but only 21 days left.....
